White Rabbit Candy tainted equipment to be cleaned with MoRA’s assistance (2019)

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) will assist in the proper cleaning of equipment at halal-certified ice cream vendors who used to sell products containing White Rabbit Creamy Candy.

MoRA’s Halal Food Control Division will be getting in touch with other shops and restaurants who may have created their own version of the White Rabbit Creamy Candy ice cream.

Mixed feelings from Bruneians after Miri shooting (2019)

SEVERAL readers gave mixed reactions to the recent robbery attempt and shootout at Taman Serene Jelita in Miri, which left a policeman and one suspect injured.

Following the shootout, two robbery suspects were taken into police custody, while another is still at large.

THE Public Works Department (JKR) under the Ministry of Development (MoD) on Tuesday held a contract-signing for three separate projects that cost more than BND15 million.

The contract-signing ceremony was witnessed by Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar.

THE 58th anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) will be observed on June 30 at the Bolkiah Camp, to respect the holy month of Ramadhan.

The theme for this year’s celebration is Bersama Menjayakan Wawasan Negara (Together in Accomplishing the National Vision).

Companies fined for tax evasion (2019)

A LOCAL company was fined BND4,500 by the Magistrate’s Court last Saturday after its director pleaded guilty to failing to file the particulars of income tax returns.

Magistrate Hajah Ervy Sufitriana binti Haji Abdul Rahman heard that Salishah & Sons (B) Sdn Bhd had failed to submit income tax returns to the Income Tax Collector for the business years ending on December 31, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
