Good Samaritan helps ‘trolley-pushing’ tourist

HAJI Fauzani bin Haji Muhammad was on his way home on Monday afternoon when he noticed a tourist walking along the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Highway pushing an airport trolley full of luggage.

Sensing something amiss, Haji Fauzani, a Fire and Rescue Department personnel, pulled his car over beside the tourist, who was from China and seemed lost, to find out what was going on.

No Bruneians involved in Makkah hotel fire: MoRA (2019)

THE Haj Affairs Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued a statement confirming that no Umrah pilgrims from Brunei Darussalam were involved in a fire that broke out at a hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, last Sunday.

A MEMORANDUM of Understanding (MoU) was inked between the Brunei Legislative Council (LegCo) and Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Tuesday, thus further strengthening the cordial ties between both parties.

Later, a bilateral meeting was held between the Brunei LegCo members and the Russian delegates, comprising members and officials from the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

THE Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam will present the 2nd Japanese Film Festival (JFF) in Brunei showcasing seven films at the Arena Cineplex, Seri Qlap Mall from February 25-28.

Japanese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Motohiko Kato, and the Co-founder of Beluneu Films Amali bin Haji Roslin shared about the event during a press conference at the Japanese Embassy in Kampong Kiarong.
