Bruneian volunteers launch crowdfunding campaign for Rohingya refugees


'Ramadan4Rohingya' aims to tackle malnutrition in the world's largest refugee camp



Bruneian NGO Hand4handbn has set up a crowdfunding campaign to help raise money for Rohingya refugees during Ramadhan.

Dubbed ‘Ramadan4Rohingya‘, the group aims to raise enough money to purchase 30,000 ready-to-eat food pouches for the refugees who live in squalid camps in Bangladesh.

Stiff fine for unlicensed money remittance business

AUTORITI Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD), as the central bank of Brunei Darussalam, is committed to the financial stability of the country and safeguarding its financial system and the interests of financial consumers.

In line with this, AMBD informed the public that carrying out a remittance business requires a valid remittance licence.

THE Tutong Police District Saturday carried out a joint roadblock operation with personnel from the Traffic Control and Investigations Department, as well as the Land Transport Department.

The operation involved 60 personnel, led by the Traffic Control and Investigations Officer from the Tutong Police District, Assistant Superintendent Police Dayangku Husmawati binti Pengiran Hussin, along with two officers-in-charge of the Tutong and Lamunin police stations.
