RBAirF hosts ASEAN air forces training exercise (2019)

With the aim of strengthening the scope of cooperation between ASEAN air forces, the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) is hosting the 6th ASEAN Air Forces’ Education and Training (AAFET).

The annual exercise in Brunei that will conclude on August 24 sees 31 delegates from all ASEAN member countries’ air forces taking part, under the theme ‘Elevating ASEAN Solidarity through Practical Cooperation’ and will take on the scenario of Brunei’s need for humanitarian assistance from neighbouring ASEAN air forces’ during natural disaster.

HPC to conduct new survey on bullying in schools (2019)

According to The Global School-Based Health Survey (GSHS) conducted five years ago by the Health Promotion Centre (HPC) under the Ministry of Health (MoH), 21.1 per cent of 2,599 students under the age of 18 in Brunei Darussalam are victims of bullying.

With only old data from 2014 being available, the HPC, with the support of the Department of Schools under the Ministry of Education (MoE), is carrying out a new GSHS this year to get a truer picture of bullying in Brunei Darussalam.

The Health Promotion Centre (HPC) through its Mental Health Strategy Group with the support of the Student Affairs Section, Department of Schools, Ministry of Education and Information Department will organise the ‘Brunei Bebas Buli Walk’ or ‘Bully-Free Brunei Walk’ event on September 1 to raise awareness on the issue among children and teenagers in the country.

Celebrating its fifth successful year in business, education services agency Findlay (B) Sdn Bhd is hosting its 10th International Study Fair tomorrow at The Rizqun International Hotel. Representatives of 19 institutions from the United Kingdom (UK), Australia, Singapore and Malaysia are are participating in the event to discuss tertiary study options with students for the 2019-2021 intake.
