WITH the increasing emphasis towards ‘Smart Nation’, Brunei Darussalam needs to prepare for the emergence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), including 5G technology, said Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof in his message for World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) 2019.

Two cyber cafes come under scrutiny (2019)

PERSONNEL from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and the Brunei-Muara District Office conducted checks on two cyber cafes in Kampong Sengkurong on Wednesday night.

Sengkurong Police Station Assistant Officer-in-Charge Muhammad Marzuki Koo bin Abdullah led 15 police personnel and five officers from the Licensing and Enforcement Division of the Brunei-Muara District Office in the operation.

FORTY-seven out of 100 students from the ISQ in Rigger and ISQ Welder programmes at Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) on Thursday secured Conditional Offers of Employment (COE) from local companies, following the success of the IBTE Mechanical Campus Market Day held from May 13 to 15.

Red flag raised on three health products (2019)

THE Ministry of Health (MoH) has alerted members of the public to three health products tested by the Pharmacy Section, Department of Scientific Services, Ministry of Health and found to be adulterated with undeclared, potent Western medicines.

The affected products are Madam Kate Detox Capsule adulterated with Sibutramine, its manufacturer is unknown; Lorenxo Delicious Pure Chocolate Tablet 1000mg adulterated with Tadalafil, its manufacturer is Lorenzo Health Nz, New Zealand; and Vigra Pills 6800mg adulterated with Sildenafil, its manufacturer is American Couple Biotechnology Co Ltd, USA.
