Suspected pimp, two others picked up in home bust (2020)

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) on Sunday detained a male believed to be a pimp and two females for alleged involvement in offering sexual services.

The three foreigners were picked up when personnel from the Anti-Vice and Gambling Suppression Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) raided a home in Kampong Salambigar.

Fire & Rescue (2020): Vehicle fire incident in Kg Mata-Mata (28.11.2020)

The driver escaped unscathed as a vehicle caught fire in Kampong Mata-Mata on Friday.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD), eight firefighters led by DSO Haji Yusly from Beribi Fire Station rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 4.37pm.

Curtains raised on Tamu Ria Mukim Serasa (2020)

The Mukim Serasa Consultative Council (MPM Serasa) celebrated the opening of the Tamu Ria Mukim Serasa initiative at the premises of the Muara Port Company (MPC) on Sunday.

The biweekly market, which will open for business on Saturdays and Sundays, was officially launched by Brunei-Muara District Officer cum guest of honour Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim.

Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) is the winner of the 2020 World’s Leading Cabin Crew by the 27th annual World Travel Awards (WTA) held virtually on November 27, marking an incredible accomplishment for the airline’s cabin crew, to be ranked ahead of world-class airlines.

This was shared by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah in his capacity as Chairman of RB Board of Directors during his welcoming remarks at the RB Cabin Crew Appreciation Ceremony at the Royal Berkshire Hall of the Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club on Saturday.

Gambling Bust (2020): Seven men nabbed for gambling (27.11.2020)

Seven men suspected of being involved in gambling at a house in Lorong Tiga Selatan Barracks were nabbed by Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) personnel on Friday.

The suspects – a local and six permanent residents aged between 52 and 62 – were believed to have been involved in mahjong games at the residence.
