Police warn public against online scams (2019)

THE Commercial Crime Investigation Division under the Criminal Investigation Department of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) received reports of attempted online scamming lodged by several companies in the country.

It was found that the Business Email Compromise fraud scheme attempted to cheat several companies in Brunei Darussalam.

HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam visited the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Agro-Technology Campus (IBTE ATC) on Tuesday after partaking in the harvesting ceremony for the Sembada 188 hybrid paddy at the KOSEKA paddy field in Kampong Wasan.

HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday graced the first harvesting of the high-yield Sembada 188 rice variety at the Wasan Agricultural Development Area (KKP Wasan) in Mukim Pengkalan Batu.

MoH extends message of hope through new hotline

THE Ministry of Health (MoH) has launched its first emotional support system, ‘Talian Harapan 145’.

Talian Harapan 145 is aimed at providing the latest information on the mental health services available in Brunei; advice and counselling for personal, social and emotional problems; emergency services and assistance for callers; a safe space to discuss caller problems; and advisory services to people with possible suicidal tendencies.
