Baiduri Bank announces dual deputy CEO positions (2020)

Baiduri Bank, Brunei’s largest conventional bank, on Sunday announced an expansion of the CEO Office organisational structure with dual Deputy Chief Executive Officer positions. The expansion comes with the appointment of Manuel Bulens to the newly created position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Compliance and Corporate Governance while Pengiran Azaleen bin Pengiran Dato Haji Mustapha will hold the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Business Development.

Government Appointment: New Acting Attorney General appointed (28.07.2020)

By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, it is hereby announced that His Majesty has commanded that the service of Dato Seri Paduka Haji Hairol Arni bin Haji Abdul Majid as Attorney General has been terminated with effect on Monday (July 27).

Furthermore, His Majesty has appointed Solicitor General Hajah Zuraini binti Haji Sharbawi as Acting Attorney General and Principal Counsel Pengiran Hajah Siti Rahmah binti Haji Mohammad as Acting Solicitor General.

COVID-19 Brunei: Sultanate getting greener under pandemic (2020)

Restrictions to curb COVID-19 since March 2020 has temporarily reduced greenhouse gas emissions in Brunei Darussalam with a reduction in daily activities.

Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Ir Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar as Co-Chairman of the Brunei Darussalam National Council on Climate Change revealed this at the launch of the Brunei Darussalam National Climate Change Policy at the Banquet Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office.

Nineteen KG3 students graduate (2020)


Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah, accompanied by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Ruzaini bin Pengiran Dr Haji Mohd Yakub and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muhammad Za’eem bin Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Ruzaini, graced the graduation ceremony for Kindergarten 3 students of Miftah An-Nur Islamic International School on Sunday. One graduate was Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muhammad ‘Aamir bin Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Ruzaini, the son of Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Ruzaini.

Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah graced the graduation ceremony for Kindergarten 3 (KG3) students of Miftah An-Nur Islamic International School on Sunday where 19 students graduated.

Her Royal Highness was accompanied by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Ruzaini bin Pengiran Dr Haji Mohd Yakub. Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muhammad Za’eem bin Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Ruzaini also attended the event.
