Single mum turned down thrice for government aid

BELAIT - A SINGLE mother who struggles with holding down a job because of a paralysed right arm is still seeking government assistance, despite being turned down by the Community Development Department (JAPEM) three times.

Pg Siti Khatizzah Pg Ismail, 29, said she has been unable to hold down a steady job since separating from her husband in 2012 due to her physical condition.

‘Super Taste’ stars in Brunei

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - FANS of Taiwan’s most popular lifestyle tv programme – ‘Super Taste’ flocked the Bake Culture bakery shop in Kiulap yesterday to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars up close.

The Taiwanese celebrities – Hao Zi and Ah Xiang are in the Sultanate for six days to film a special segment of the ‘Super Taste – Magic Brunei’ which will be aired on TVBS by end of May this year.

Kg Kiudang to launch homestay programme

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - KAMPUNG Kiudang in Tutong district is planning to introduce its homestay programme this year to strengthen the village’s community-based ecotourism projects.

Muhammad Amir Hj Umarali from the information bureau of the Kg Kiudang Village Consultative Council (MPK) said the homestay programme can accommodate visitors while they visit tourist attractions nearby.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - EXCITING events and activities are lined up especially motor enthusiasts today at the ‘Motoring BN Autoshow 2016’ currently held at the open court of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah in the capital.

The four-day event is organised by Confex, which is the publisher of the motoring lifestyle magazine,Motoring BN, and is held to mark the magazine’s first anniversary.
