BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - BRUNEI is keen to open a free trade zone that can ease the transshipment of imported halal products.

Permanent Secretary (Industry) at the Prime Minister’s Office Adi Shamsul Hj Sabli said the government is considering to open a free trade zone in several locations to “simplify transshipment arrangement”.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE ‘Flavours of BIMP EAGA: Culture & Food Expo 2016’ is aimed at improving trade ties and highlighting economic opportunities in the Brunei Indonesia Malaysia Phillipines-East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) member countries, said a senior official from the Brunei Darussalam BIMP-EAGA Business Council yesterday.

Pg Yura Kesetria PSN Pg Hj Md Yusuf, executive chairman of the Brunei BEBC, said the region houses a great variety of food that can provide a new and unique experience for tourists from all over the world.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - CULINARY arts were not the only thing that everyone was looking forward to during the ‘Flavours of BIMP-EAGA: Culture & Food Expo’ as the Airport Mall, Berakas was bustling with liveliness during its Indonesian Night yesterday.

Held at the ground floor atrium of the shopping complex, the performances such as live band New Devisa and the ever-captivating Jaipong dance by the local Sundanese community wowed the audience.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - TAKE a glimpse of what the BIMP-EAGA nations have to offer while having a fun and educational time at an expo dedicated to the subregion at the Airport Mall, Berakas.

The ‘Flavours of BIMP EAGA: Culture & Food Expo 2016’ was launched yesterday by the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Hj Ali Hj Apong. Also present were heads of missions and invited government officials.
