Brunei possible SEA Games 2027 host (2020)

Brunei Darussalam has been touted as a possible host country of the 34th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in 2027, subject to approval from the government, during a Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) Council virtual meeting recently.

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, President of Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BDNOC) attended the meeting.

COVID-19 Brunei: 473 undergoing self-isolation (2020)

The Ministry of Health (MoH) announced on Tuesday that 473 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak in the Sultanate.

Meanwhile, 3,549 have completed the mandatory self-isolation since March 2020. No new cases were recorded as of on Tuesday, keeping the national tally at 141 cases.

The Museums Department is currently holding an art exhibition at the Art Gallery of the Brunei Malay Technology Museum in Jalan Kota Batu. The exhibition named ‘Trio Battle’ showcases art from the department’s three local artists, two of them highly revered.

Public Relations Officer Mariani binti Haji Abu Bakar said apart from showcasing the department’s talented artists, the exhibition also aims to show the availability of Brunei Museums’ exhibition gallery as an art platform.
