Country’s largest health centre to start operations soon

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - TWO health centres and two health clinics will be permanently closed and absorbed by the newly completed Berakas Health Centre, the country’s largest health centre set to start operations on Monday.

This was said yesterday by Dr Hjh Maslina Hj Mohsin, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Professional) at Ministry of Health during a press conference held at the Ministry of Health.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - A WOMAN attempted to jump off the first floor of the laboratory section at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital yesterday afternoon.

In a statement, the ministry said that the incident took place around 2pm yesterday when hospital staff found the woman sitting on the ledge outside a window while talking and screaming.

National Geographic documentary filming in Brunei ends

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - TWO filmmakers for a National Geographic documentary on Southeast Asian Wildlife finished shooting in Brunei yesterday.

Paul Reddish, a series producer from Free Spirit Films, and Dr Paul D Stewart, a freelance cinematographer and zoologist, have spent three weeks filming the different species of wildlife in the sultanate.

New Kiulap shopping centre ready in 15 months

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - CONSTRUCTION of a new hotel, apartment and shopping complex in Kiulap is due to be completed in about 15 months, according to the developer TSW Fidel Construction Sdn Bhd.

According to TSW Fidel marketing executive Jack Chung, the mixed development project situated near Sungai Kedayan has completed the piling stage, and the underground car park for the complex is currently being excavated.
