BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE new Berakas Health Centre will be taking over Sungai Hanching Health Clinic’s Primary Oral Care Services effective May 16, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.
The new health centre located at Jalan 10 Selatan, Rancangan Perumahan Lambak Kanan, will also be providing oral health programmes such as antenatal programme and toddlers, fluoride varnish and rolling toothpaste programme (TFRTP) which target expectant and post-natal mothers, as well as guardians of children under the age of five.Aside from primary oral care services, the health centre will also provide specialist care services in various areas of expertise.
This includes oral surgery (including removal of impacted teeth), orthodontics (including fitting of dental braces), paediatric dentistry (for children requiring complex treatment) and prosthodontics (provision of complex dentures, crown and bridgework). All services will be supplemented by an in-house dental laboratory and digital x-ray systems.
The dental clinic will house five dental officers, three dental hygienists and therapists, five dental nurses and six supporting staff.
“Dental Services aims to provide both general and specialist dentistry to improve accessibility and quality of care to the clients of Berakas Health Centre,” stated the Ministry of Health.
