TWO Bruneian bloggers alongside two other media representatives from Indonesia bagged top prizes at the recently concluded Asean Media Bloggers Tourism Hunt 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Pengiran Syahreen bin Pengiran Metassan of Kurapak and Abdul Khaliq Roziman of aliqpombunai were crowned champions of the tourism hunt after a five-day drive across Malaysia while competing in a series of activities.
Team Brunei also received recognition for the ‘Best Overall Team’. Individually, Abdul Khaliq bagged the ‘Best Video’ and the ‘Best Creative Photo’ categories.
Datuk Seri Mirza Mohammad Taiyab, Director General of Tourism Malaysia presented the prizes at the closing ceremony for the Asean Media Blogger Hunt 2017.
Organised by Tourism Malaysia, the Asean Media Bloggers Tourism Hunt is aimed at promoting Malaysian tourism products, particularly to the Southeast Asian market.
Some 40 participants engaged in activities such as ‘fly-drive’ and ‘explore race’, and quizzes on Malaysia’s tourist attractions.
The tourism hunt, themed ‘Fun and Enjoyable Drive to Experience Malaysia’, saw Asean bloggers and media representatives driving around Malaysia and experiencing its culture, heritage, arts and cuisine as they moved on from task to task.
The Asean Media Bloggers Tourism Hunt 2017 was held from July 10 to 15.
