STAND a chance to win up to BND100,000 worth of rewards during BruPay’s two-day QR Hunt this weekend at two key locations in the Brunei-Muara District.
According to a press release by BruPay, the first leg of the QR Hunt will be held on December 8 between 2pm and 5pm at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex, and at on December 9 beween 7am and 10am at Bukit Shahbandar.
QR codes will be scattered across the Yayasan Complex and the hills of Bukit Shahbandar, with users having to solve riddles released on social media or in-App to find their locations.
Users will have to scan the codes using the BruPay App to receive the rewards, which will be credited to their BruPay accounts.
BruPay Cheif Executive Officer Sophian Mat Suny said, “The QR hunt is a fun way for Bruneians to experience an eWallet. Learning how to scan a QR to collect cash is a core function of the eWallet.
“It’s the evolution of the bar code which requires a machine to scan, whereas a QR code can be scanned through the phone.
“We hope the experience of the QR hunt not only gives the participants a fun time but also educates them on how to use the eWallet in their everyday life.”
The BruPay QR Hunt is organised in conjunction with the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism’s (MPRT) month-long Brunei December Festival (BDF) initiative.
