THE Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) on Tuesday announced that His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam will attend Friday prayer at the new mosque in Kampong Bukit Panggal, Tutong District, on May 17.
The new mosque, costing BND3 million, is built on a five-acre plot of land, and the second after Ar-Rahman Mosque in Kampong Tanjung Bunut to be built through the expenditure from the Brunei Darussalam Mosque Construction Fund.
The foundation-laying ceremony for Kampong Bukit Panggal Mosque was held on May 15, 2018.
Meanwhile, MoRA invited the residents of Kampong Bukit Panggal and those in the surrounding areas to take part in this week’s Friday prayer at the new mosque.
