THE 58th anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) will be observed on June 30 at the Bolkiah Camp, to respect the holy month of Ramadhan.
The theme for this year’s celebration is Bersama Menjayakan Wawasan Negara (Together in Accomplishing the National Vision). Chairman of the RBAF’s 58th anniversary celebration Colonel Haji Mohd Huzaimi bin Pehin Datu Harimaupadang Dato Paduka Seri Haji Husin explained the theme’s concept during a poster distribution ceremony for the occasion at the Bolkiah Garrison yesterday.
“The theme is in accordance with the RBAF’s vital role of strengthening security and sovereignty of Brunei Darussalam, as well as supporting the nation’s progress and development holistically, by ensuring safety and peace through strong defence and security,” he said.
“The RBAF is the cornerstone of defence and national security, agent and catalyst in unity and integration between the national security agencies, in together supporting and carrying out a ‘whole-of-nation’ approach for strengthening the country’s peace and stability; and at the same time, contributing to regional and international welfare.
“RBAF will continue to expand and increase the capacity and ability of its personnel through the enhancement of professionalism skills for more quality and the credibility of RBAF to realise this aspiration.”
He also urged the representatives of ministries, departments and the RBAF to disseminate information on the 58th RBAF anniversary celebration.
It is hoped that from the posters, it can be put in schools, higher education institutions, government buildings as well as private buildings to provide accurate information of the celebration to the public.”
Colonel Haji Mohd Huzaimi presented 500 anniversary posters published by the Public Relations Unit (PRU) of the Ministry of Defence to public relations officers, representatives from government ministries, departments and RBAF units, as well as from the Ex-Soldiers Association of Brunei Darussalam (PBPNBD).
