BY Fadley Faisal

PROSECUTORS pressed a charge of criminal intimidation against a 50-year-old Malaysian man after a video showing him demonstrating the behaviour went viral on WhatsApp on Wednesday.

DPP Hajah Siti Mu’izzah binti Haji Sabli charged Kumaravelu Nagalingam with committing criminal intimidation by pointing a knife at two local men and threatening to injure them at a house in Jalan Kianggeh at 3.29pm on June 17.

The defendant denied the charge, which carries a penalty of seven years’ imprisonment and a fine.

Magistrate Hajah Ervy Sufitriana binti Haji Abdul Rahman adjourned the case to July 3 to fix trial dates.
