bruneihalalfoods launches ready-to-heat range (2019)

To meet the demand for convenience foods in an increasingly on-the-go world, bruneihalalfoods held a launching of its latest Ready-to-Heat range at the Supplier Fair 2019, organised by the Hua Ho Manggis Mall, yesterday.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghanim International Corporation Dr Nur Rahman, together with the official distributor, CKC Inofood Sdn Bhd, and representatives from the Hua Ho Manggis Mall officiated the event.

The ready-to-eat meals come in three options: Mutton Biryani, Vegetable Biryani and Beef Alfredo. Packed with natural ingredients, they contain no artificial flavourings, colourings, preservatives and MSG, while the Vegetable Biryani bears a Healthier Choice stamp from the Ministry of Health for meeting the healthier choice criteria that is low in total fat, saturated fat, sodium and sugar. Dr Nur Rahman said, “We have been striving for access to new markets for years. We have already secured China’s market, with regular exports there.

“We are in the process of securing the Singapore market and distribution, and we are also actively working with distributors in Japan and Malaysia, where we are going into markets soon. We also received some interest from Australia, the Middle East and India.”

As part of their product portfolio, he said, “We are working with a number of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to increase the volume, and very soon, we hope to have a manufacturing process to increase the volume for export.”

Dr Nur Rahman thanked several government agencies, especially the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, and the DARe (Darussalam Enterprise), for helping them with the export process.
