Firefighters’ skills on show at competition (2019)

The Fire and Rescue Operation ‘C’ Branch emerged as champion in the Rip It Off category of the Fire-fighting Skills Competition 2019 at the Parade Ground of the FRD’s Headquarters in Berakas. The Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) organised the competition.

Second place went to Operation ‘A’ and Operation ‘C’ Branch was in third place.

Operation ‘C’ Branch Assistant Station Officer Mohammad Firdaus bin Yussof was crowned as the winner in the Brave Heart category. Second place went to Fire and Rescue Personnel 911 Mohammad Nhorman bin Haji Abdul Karim from FRD’s Headquarters while third place went to Fire and Rescue Personnel 967 Pengiran Muhd Ermin bin Pengiran Jumat form Operation ‘G’ Branch.

Seven Fire and Rescue teams from all districts competed showcasing their skills, efficiency and competency. The competition was divided into two categories – ‘Rip It Off’ and ‘Brave Heart’.

Acting Director of the Fire and Rescue Department Lim Hock Guan presented the prizes.

Winners of both categories will represent the department in the International Elite Rescuer Exchange Workshop, SCDF Day Parade and Singapore Global Fire-fighters and Paramedics Challanges (SGFPC) on November 23-25.
