Principal of Lambak Kanan Jalan 49 Primary School Hajah Noorliah binti Haji Aspar shared her experience meeting Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn upon receiving the Princess Maha Chakri Award during a congratulatory reception at the Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is very kind, gentle and down to earth and I admire her for that,” Hajah Noorliah said on Wednesday.
She also conveyed her gratitude to Minister of Education Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman and ministry officials for her nomination.
“The success is for myself, the teachers and staff of the school. I hope that the ministry will succeed in producing a high quality young generation to achieve Vision 2035.

Ambassador of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam Wanthanee Viputwongsakul said Hajah Noorliah is a committed educator whose contribution in education development in Brunei includes the monitoring and evaluating teachers to deliver impactful teaching and learning. Her contributions in coaching other teachers have made a significant impact on students’ lives in line with the purpose of the award.
“This is true for the previous recipients of Princess Maha Chakri Award 2015 and 2017, Hajah Ratnawati binti Haji Mohammad and Lim Soh Ngo. Their passion and dedication to improving and empowering the lives of students regardless of their differences, have earned both of them the recognition of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn,” said the ambassador.
The ambassador hoped that all award recipients will take full advantage of the support provided by the Princess Maha Chakri Foundation to inspire and contribute to the community as a great mentor that produce quality people who could be the next Princess Maha Chakri Award recipient.
Wanthanee Viputwongsakul presented a royal portrait of the Thai King and books to Hajah Noorliah. She also presented a book to the deputy permanent secretary as well as to the previous recipients of the award, Hajah Ratnawati and Lim Soh Ngo.
