Eleven vehicles were found violating the road traffic law by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) during a joint operation at the border post of Labu, Temburong District on Wednesday.
Officer-in-Charge of Bangar Police Station Inspector Muhammad Ajib bin Haji Ahmad led 47 RBPF personnel in the joint operation.
It was held in cooperation with the Internal Security Department, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Immigration and National Registration Department, Narcotics Control Bureau, Religious Enforcement Division, Halal Food Control Division and Biosecurity Division in the joint operation.Three offences under Customs Act were also unearthed involving an attempt to smuggle alcohol and vape equipment into the country.
The RBPF reminded road users to ensure that vehicles are safe and in good condition and not to smuggle contraband into the country.
