The two-day Brunei E-Sports Tournament 2019 concluded with a prize presentation ceremony at the Peak Performance Sdn Bhd in Berakas last Sunday.
Permanent Secretary (Administration, Finance and Estate) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism Pengiran Haji Kamalrudzaman bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Ishak and DST Manager Elixsurian bin Haji Busu were present.
With over 600 players from Brunei, Malaysia and Japan, the tournament saw games divided into categories of PC, PS4, Nintendo, Mobile and Tabletop.
The PC, Nintendo and Mobile categories saw one game for the Fortnite, Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The PS4 saw games of FIFA 20, Tekken 7, Gran Turismo and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, while Tabletop category featured games of Warcry Painting Competition and Warcry Tournament.
DST was the title sponsor of the tournament, offering BND7,000 of prize pool for total games.
According to the organiser, this is the third consecutive year the tournament was held.
Over 2,000 people attended.
