Brunei Darussalam’s highly anticipated consumer event is back in its 24th edition with the launching ceremony officiated by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah at the International Convention Centre in Berakas on Wednesday.
The 24th Consumer Fair, organised by D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd, promises bigger and more exciting features bringing it closer to the hearts of Bruneians.
The opening ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat followed by welcoming remarks by Director of D’Sunlit Dato Paduka Haji Danial bin Haji Hanafiah, who said the event would not be possible without the support of various stakeholders namely the government, event partners, exhibitors, sponsors, media and the public.
Similar to the previous editions, the 24th Consumer Fair revolves around the narrative of a family-oriented cartoon characters – Babah, Babu, Boboi and Alai – intended to provide a light sense of humour and family vibes. The characters will make their appearance to guide visitors for the best deals, promotions and exciting activities at the fair.
The five-day event is rolling out exciting activities for the public to take part in such as the Oriental Town, Lantern Making, Toy Donation Drive and the biggest Toy Warehouse Sale.
The Toy Warehouse Sale features 88 cents deal and three lucky social media participants will stand a chance to shop and fill up one shopping trolley for free.

In addition, the Consumer Fair Snap and Win is also back to offer the public a chance to win a brand new Insta 360 ONE X with an additional Venture Case, a 32GB SD Card and Invisible Stick. Consumers also stand chances to win fabulous prizes at the Consumer Fair Grand Lucky Draw.
In line with the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe) initiative to implement the ‘No Plastic Day Every Day’ campaign, members of the public are also encouraged to bring their own shopping bags.
The 24th Consumer Fair features over 400 booths open until January 19 from 10am-10pm.
