Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar said there is no such need to do mass testing among the community in Brunei as what has been carried out in South Korea.
“Contact tracing of patients was successful except in the case of Case 103, which is still under investigation. Mass testing is done for people returning from overseas by plane,” the minister said.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah said the country’s tourism sector has long been impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak before other sectors felt the pinch.
“For many in the tourism sector, they have to make decisions on how to continue with their businesses,” the minister said during a press conference on Thursday.
The minister also said that employees need to discuss with their employers on the best ways to maintain the business and other interests.
