The Ministry of Education (MoE) is compiling information and making arrangements for Bruneian students who are still abroad and wishes to return to Brunei.
This was stated by Minister of Education Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman during a press conference at Al-’Afiah Hall of the Ministry of Health on Thursday.
To date, 742 Bruneian students are still living abroad where majority of them are in Malaysia, the United Kingdom and Australia.
“They are on their own accord as we had previously provided these students with facilities to return to Brunei. Most of them are actually graduating and some expressed their will to go home.
“Preparations are being made to bring them back, especially from countries such as the United Kingdom where there are no commercial flights available,” the minister said.
