Brunei Darussalam did not record any new COVID-19 case for the 15th day on Friday keeping the total tally of cases at 141.
This was highlighted by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at the daily press conference at the Ministry of Health (MoH) on Friday.
“Alhamdulillah with the grace of Allah the Almighty there is no new COVID-19 case in the country. The total number of COVID-19 cases in Brunei Darussalam remains at 141,” he said.
On the current four active cases, the minister said, “No case recovered from COVID-19 today. The total number of cases recovered remains at 136. This brings the number of active cases being treated at the National Isolation Centre to four where two are still in a critical condition. Only one requires heart-lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance while one case only requires respiratory assistance. Meanwhile, the rest are in a stable condition.”
Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham said all contact cases numbering 2,679 have completed their quarantine in accordance to the Infectious Diseases Act (Chapter 204).”
He said in the past 24 hours, 183 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 18,193.”
