Brunei Darussalam reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, with the total number of cases remaining at 141. There were however no recovered cases on Wednesday and hence the number of recovered patients remained at 137. Only two active cases remain at the National Isolation Centre (NIC).
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar shared this at the daily press conference on Wednesday.
“Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah the Almighty, there is no new case of COVID-19 infection in the country. Therefore, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Brunei remains at 141,” Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham said.
“There are no recovery cases today, therefore the total number of recovered cases remains at 137. This brings the number of active cases still being treated at the NIC to two, with one still in critical condition and requiring heart-lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance. The other is in stable condition,” he said.
Over the past 24 hours, 28 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 18,648. In terms of the BruHealth app, the minister said, “Alhamdulillah, at this time a total of 223,356 individuals have registered as users. Additionally, 3,563 businesses and premises have registered for the application.”

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
