COVID-19 Brunei: Brunei records 89 days with no new COVID-19 case (as of 04.08.2020)

Brunei Darussalam continued its streak of no new COVID-19 cases for the 89th consecutive day on Tuesday keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 141.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has taken 486 samples for testing for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the past 24 hours and carried out 41,634 test for SARS-CoV-2 virus since January.

The latest updates on the COVID-19 situation in the country was shared by the MoH in its daily release on Tuesday. According to the statement, 489 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving from abroad.

Meanwhile 3,816 individuals completed their mandatory self-isolation at monitoring centres since March 2020.

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
