The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained seven individuals linked to the biggest family drug business bust in a follow-up to Operation Musang King, including two sons of the main suspects aged between 26-36.
The arrests were made on two separate occasions – at the car park near a shopping mall in Manggis and a residence at Jalan Dadap, Kilanas between September 15 and 17.
The items seized believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking activities included several foreign currency amounting to over BND5,000, mobile phones, a watch and five cars at the suspects’ residence.
Ongoing investigations revealed that the suspects allegedly consumed drugs, conspired activities related to the misuse of drugs and acquired property through the commission of crime.
The NCB said the investigation is still ongoing and advised the public to not get involved in illegal activities, including sheltering suspects, as conspirators will be liable to punishment as serious as the ones who have committed the crime.
