COVID-19 Brunei: More de-escalation plans announced (24.09.2020)

Further reduction of social distancing measures were announced at a press conference at the Ministry of Health’s (MoH) Al-‘Afiah Hall on Thursday.

Starting on Monday, arcades and playrounds will be in Level 3 of de-escalation and swimming pools will be in Level 4.

This was announced by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar.

The minister said, “For arcades and playgrounds (indoor and outdoor), operating capacity will be increased to 80 per cent of normal capacity.

“The capacity for mass gatherings is maintained at 350 people at any one time. This limit is for the total number of people present at an event including guests, organisers, catering staff and anyone else at the event.”

The guidelines for swimming pools and other announcements related to sports activities were delivered by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.
