James Avery of 'Fresh Prince' fame dies at 68

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star James Avery has died from complications from open heart surgery in Glendale, his manager and publicist confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. Avery was 68.

Alfonso Ribeiro, who played Avery's TV son on the sitcom, broke the news on New Year's Day on social media. "I'm deeply saddened to say that James Avery has passed away. He was a second father to me. I will miss him greatly," the actor wrote on Twitter.

In a posting on Facebook, Ribeiro said, "The world has lost a truly special man."

AIM 20 2013 : Yuna reclaimed dignity, 'Lelaki' recognized as Best Song

KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Yuna redeemed herself this year, after a tarnished reputation from AIM-18, when her song 'Lelaki' won in the major categories of Best Song and Best Pop Song at the 20th Music Industry Awards last Saturday night.

Yuna's win at AIM 18 was due to errors in judging.

The night however, belonged to Hafiz when his album ' Luahan Hati Anak Seni ' won in the main categories of Best Album and Best Recorded Album.

Hafiz also took home the trophy for Best Male Vocal Performance In A Song via the same album, while Dayang Nurfaizah ended her victory drought by winning in the category of Best Female Vocal Performance In A Song.

Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker died in a car crash this afternoon when his friend lost control of a Porsche GT and collided with a telegraph pole. 

The star's representatives and official Facebook page confirmed his death this evening.
 
Walker, 40, was a passenger in the high-powered super-car when it spun out of control in Santa Clarita at 3:30pm today.

The actor was giving rides in his new Porche when the accident occurred.

ZUL F TO PERFORM AT ASEAN-JAPAN MUSIC FESTIVAL

Bandar Seri Begawan: Zul Faden, our Bruneian local artist who is also popularly known as Zul F, has been invited to represent Brunei in the Asean-Japan Music Festival which is held from November 26 to 29 in Tokyo, Japan. Themed "Music for Healing After the Earthquake", the festival is organised by the Japan-Asean Music Fair Committee in collaboration with Japan Foundation.

The host country, Japan, has invited top artists from participating Asean countries to perform at this festival. The stage is set at NHK Hall Shibuya, Tokyo.

Zul Faden, together with his team of back up dancers Khamdhi Asmad (head choreographer), Studio Scene dancers (Alfie Juhar, Han Wuen and Marcos Ukul), have all been working hard preparing for the event. Zul will be performing two songs from his recent album, Mana Ku Pergi and Just Wanna Dance. Zul's wardrobe has been sponsored by Bingo Men.
