KOTA Kinabalu (KK) women’s basketball team are one step closer to lift the Tan Che Eu challenge trophy after cruising to an easy win over Miri women’s team 78-44 yesterday in the 2018 Borneo City Basketball Invitation Tournament at the Brunei Basketball Association Basketball Court in Batu Bersurat.

REPRESENTATIVES of the Brunei national team have a better chance of winning in the 20th Borneo City Basketball Invitation Tournament held at the Batu Bersurat basketball court, said Brunei Coach Wong Yee Chai.

DPMM FC reduced the gap with second-placed Tampines Rovers to seven points after a 2-0 win in the Singapore Premier League at the Our Tampines Hub in Singapore last Wednesday night.

Home United’s win over Warriors FC meant that it was not enough to climb to third place but they pulled five points clear of fifth-placed Balestier Khalsa with three games in hand.

Brunei contingent head to Philippines for SEA Age Group

THREE athletes and three officials left the country Wednesday morning for the 42 Southeast Asia (SEA) Age Group Swimming Championships from July 6 – 8 at the Trace College, Los Banos, Laguna in Philippines.

The Brunei athletes – Natasha Sia from RBRC Swimming Club, Emma Yusuf from ISB Hammer Head and Nur Haziq Samil from Brunei Speed Swimming – will be led by Coach Harjimmey Zainal and Team Manager Awangku Abdul Farid bin Pengiran Idrus.
