Halif and Sons face CJ Technical Services in final (2019)

Halif and Sons will play in the final game against CJ Technical Services in the Aewon Cup Men’s Basketball Open 2019 at the New Village Mutual Aid Basketball Court in Seria tonight.

Halif and Sons defeated Holland Slot 94-79 in a heated semi-final game on Tuesday night. Halif and Sons led the first and second quarters of the game. In the third quarter, Holland Slot gained some footing but only managed to match their opponents in the third and final quarters.

‘Big Hit’ squash taster session on October 12 (2019)

The Brunei Squash Rackets Association (BSRA) in collaboration with Jerudong International School (JIS) will host a ‘Big Hit’ squash taster session on October 12 at the National Squash Centre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex.

Held in conjunction with the World Squash Day, the session will be open the public from 2-6pm. Those who wish to learn more about squash can learn its basic techniques and play fun games at the taster session.

Brunei Darussalam’s powerlifters Abdul Hakim Idzharudin and Abdul Mateen Amirrudin etched their names in the record books after they achieved a world record in their respective classes in the Malaysia Powerlifting Alliance (MPA) Strength Assembly Meet in Petaling Jaya, Selangor recently.

Abdul Hakim powered through to an under-60kg open deadlift world record en route to a gold medal in the under-60kg, having obtained first place overall.

XNP emerge winners of Teacher’s Day bowling meet (2019)

XNP (Strike No Problem) emerged winners of the championship trophy of the 29th Teacher’s Day Celebration Tenpin Bowling Championship at the iBowl Utama Bowling in Batu Satu on Sunday.

The team claimed top place in the overall men’s team event after they accumulated a total of 2,153 pinfalls. Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS) Dragon finished in second place with 1,942 pinfalls followed by K6 Bowlers (Cluster 6) in third place with 1,935 pinfalls.
