BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) hope that this week’s working visit to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) will be the start of Brunei’s return to Malaysia’s football leagues.

The sultanate has a rich history of involvement in Malaysian football, culminating in Brunei’s 1999 Malaysia Cup win – long seen as one of the country’s most important achievements in the sport.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - BRUNEI returned from the STLA-Greensports Invitational Juniors Tennis Championships 2016 in Kuching with a haul of one gold, one silver and two bronze medals last weekend.

Wesley Lim finished at the top of the podium in the boys’ Under-12 doubles event when he partnered Bryan Chong of Kuching at the Sarawak Tennis Lawn Association (STLA) Tennis Centre.

Seruji keen on hat-trick of Baiduri Masters titles

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE sultanate’s top golfer Seruji Hj Setia will be looking to make it a hat-trick at this year’s 21st Baiduri Masters which tees off on May 22.

Seruji became the second golfer to win the Baiduri Masters back-to-back last year when he clinched the title with a gross score of 69 - surpassing his score of 70 when he won the tournament in 2014.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - MORE rugby action is set to tackle the country with the first Brunei Rugby 10’s Series next month.

Organised by the Brunei Rugby Football Union (BRFU), the tournament will be contested over three series.

Jaspar left ruing missed chances against Lin Dan

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - NATIONAL shuttler Jaspar Yu Woon Chai (pic) was left ruing missed opportunities after going down 21-11, 21-6 to World No 4 and two-time Olympic champion Lin Dan in the first round of the China Masters yesterday.

On a quest to qualify for the Rio Olympics in Brazil in August, Yu has been clocking up the air miles competing in tournaments in New Zealand and Thailand in order to gain Olympic qualifying points.
