BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - DPMM FC coach Steve Kean feels that a change of mentality has helped them go on strong run in the Singapore League Cup.

The three-time winners are through to the final of the competition after edging Home United FC 1-0 in the semi-finals at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore on Tuesday night.

Md Asy Syafi’e finishes seventh at SUKMA 100m final

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - NATIONAL sprinter Md Asy Syafi’e Md Bohari placed seventh in the field of eight athletes in the men’s 100m at the 18th Malaysian Games (SUKMA) in Kuching yesterday.

He crossed the line with a time of 10.93 seconds to place second in his semi-final race, losing only to eventual gold medallist Khairul Hafiz Jantan of Malacca at the Stadium Sarawak, Petrajaya.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE national Under-14 football team earned their first point of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-14 Regional Festival of Football yesterday after coming from behind to record a 3-3 draw with Singapore.

Having lost their opening game to Myanmar 2-1 on Tuesday, the local boys made a bright start but were undone just five minutes in when Singapore took the lead through their towering striker Zikos Vasilejos Chua.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - AN IN-FORM DPMM FC will be eyeing a berth in the Singapore League Cup final when they face Home United FC in the semi-finals at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore tonight.

The last time both sides met saw DPMM FC fall to their worst defeat in the Singapore League (S-League) with a 5-0 thrashing at the Bishan Stadium on May 19.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - HOSTS Brunei are hoping to do well at today’s Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-14 Regional Festival of Football.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 4.15pm at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas, and Brunei will take on Myanmar in Group A right after.
