BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - CHIKARA softball team got their 16th ASEAN Open Women’s Softball Tournament campaign off to a good start after a convincing 9-0 win against OCBC NISP in Bandung, Indonesia yesterday.

"It's a good start to the tournament because we were well prepared coming here," said Chikara's head coach Manuel Bacariciz in an interview with The Brunei Times yesterday. "There are five games to advance to the second round which we have to be ready, focus and work hard at each game,".

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - BRUNEI Darussalam Hockey Association (BDHA) yesterday held a meeting to appoint head coach and managers for the national team at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.

National hockey coach Shaiful Azli Abd Rahman will continue to guide the national hockey team after he signed a new contract yesterday, rewarding the progress that has been made by him since his appointment in June 2014.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - CHIKARA are intent on winning this week’s 16th ASEAN Open Women’s Softball Tournament after finishing with silver the last time they competed in 2014.

Led by head coach Manuel Bacariciz, the local club yesterday sent 17 players to the tournament in Bandung, Indonesia.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - DPMM FC are looking to bounce back when they face Geylang International FC in the Singapore League (S-League) tonight.

The reigning S-League champions slipped to a 3-2 opening defeat in the Community Shield at the hands of Albirex Niigata (S) FC last Saturday, the first time that the Brunei side has trailed by three goals in any game since the arrival of Steve Kean in November 2013.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - TELECOMS service provider DST continued their support of local football with the sponsorship of National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) tournaments yesterday.

The signing of the agreement makes DST Group the title sponsor for this year’s DST Super League, DST Premier League, DST FA Cup and DST Sumbangsih Cup.
