Fight till the end, HRH urges team

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - HIS Royal Highness Prince Hj Sufri Bolkiah, president of the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD), urged the national football team to fight till the end when they take on Laos in their final game of the AFF (ASEAN Football Federation) Suzuki Cup qualifiers in Cambodia tomorrow.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE national football team’s chances of qualifying for the AFF (ASEAN Football Federation) Suzuki Cup 2016 took a huge blow after falling 3-0 to Cambodia last night.

The Wasps never recovered from conceding twice in the opening 10 minutes of the rain-marred encounter, thanks to goals from Prak Mony Udom and Keo Sokpheng before the former added another late in the opening half at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE national sepak takraw team are off to a rough start at the 31st King’s Cup Sepak Takraw World Championship 2016 in Thailand after falling in the group stage of the regu event in the Premier Division on Tuesday.

The result meant that they failed to replicate the joint-bronze medal that they achieved in the same event last year.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - BRUNEI is set to welcome Japan’s national badminton team as part of the Brunei-Japan badminton exchange programme co-organised by the Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports (MCYS) and Embassy of Japan.

Held to commemorate His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 70th birthday celebration, the four day-day event will begin on Monday.

Mohammad Zuno to conduct more tutor courses in Brunei

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - BRUNEI’S Badminton World Federation (BWF) and Badminton Asian Confederation (BAC)-certified Shuttle Time trainer Mohammad Zuno Kartono Ali (pic) looks to conduct more Shuttle Time Tutor Courses in Brunei following a successful outing in Maldives last week.

Entrusted by the BWF and BAC, Mohammad Zuno conducted the first Regional Shuttle Time Tutor Course in Maldives from Oct 6 to 11 where he trained participants from South Asian nations.
