BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - DEFENDING champions Easyway secured a solid 128-64 win over Bao Time in the SpeedSend Cup group B match at the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) court in Batu Bersurat last night.

Despite the comfortable 64-point win for the three-time champions, Easyway head coach Hj Mohammad Sofrian Hj Md Yusof has reminded his team to stay focused in their next game against Rotary tomorrow at 7:30pm.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - DPMM FC head coach Steve Kean (pic) has challenged his local players to step up and save their season following their exit from the Singapore Cup on Sunday.

Despite winning the second leg of their quarter-final 3-2 on Sunday, the Singapore League (S-League) champions crashed out of the competition after losing 5-3 on aggregate to Ceres-La Salle FC at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore.

BNA unveil Under-21 team for South Korean tourney

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE Brunei Netball Association (BNA) have selected Under-21 players to represent the country at next month’s South Korea Invitational Netball Tournament in Jeonju City.

The squad will be captained by Nur Syuhaidah Fahriyana Hj Sukri while Siti Nur Syaahidah Rashid will serve as vice-captain for the Aug 27-31 event.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - DPMM FC bowed out of the Singapore Cup after a spirited 3-2 second leg quarter-final victory over Ceres-La Salle FC which saw them fall short of a comeback.

The Singapore League (S-League) champions produced a much-improved performance last night, but it wasn’t quite enough to undo the damage of the first leg where they fell 3-0 at the hands of the United Football League (UFL) reigning champions.

Top teams target Speed Send Cup

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - A TOTAL of 11 teams have been confirmed by the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) to compete in this year’s Speed Send Cup (also known as the Sultan’s Cup) in conjunction with His Majesty’s 70th birthday celebrations.

Baot Time, Easyway, Hainan Association, Hankook Tyre, JCMK, Juramas MYS, Propel, Rakin Design, Rotary, Street Roc and Sunlit will be vying for top honours in the annual tournament from July 9 to 30.
