BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - JASPAR Yu Woon Chai is ready to make Brunei’s badminton debut at the Rio Olympics today (Saturday 6.55am Brunei time).

The national shuttler will take on World No 12 Hu Yun of Hong Kong in their Group D opener of the men’s singles event at the Ricantro Pavilion 4.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - VIPERS ‘Bergh’ Rugby Club won the men’s open category of the Touch Rugby Tournament organised by the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Sharks Rugby Club on Sunday.

Held at the UBD Sports Complex at Jalan Tungku Link, Vipers ‘Bergh’ edged Knights Rugby Football Club 1-0 in the final to be crowned the champions.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - DPMM FC fought back to draw 1-1 against Geylang International FC in their Singapore League (S-League) game last night.

Roberto Camarasa gave the Eagles an early lead before Azwan Ali Rahman converted a second half equaliser created by substitutes at the Bedok Stadium in Singapore.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - BUSIIDO Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Club will be competing at this weekend’s Sabah Open Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament in Kota Kinabalu.

Organised in conjunction with the Sabah Fitness Festival, the two-day tournament will be held at the Likas Sports Complex.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THERE is no room for complacency when DPMM FC face Geylang International FC in the Singapore League (S-League) at the Bedok Stadium in Singapore tonight.

The Brunei side are riding high after dispatching leaders Albirex Niigata (S) FC 2-1 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas on Friday.
