GT Engineering’s Nissan GTR leaves competitors eating dust

GT ENGINEERING, a local auto shop specialising in performance modifications and maintenance of the Nissan GTR recently made a key breakthrough by winning a prestigious drag race held in Kuching recently.

The all-wheel Nissan GT-R35, tuned and engineered by the specialists’ who have been operational in Brunei for four years, were crowned champions in two racing categories at the inaugural Zer082wo Drag War held at Demak Laut Industrial Park from November 11-12.

Brunei’s football looks bright with Tabuan Under-17

TABUAN Under-17 have been identified as a long-term youth development project to prepare the men’s football team for the 2021 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

The junior players have made huge strides after reaching the semi-finals of the Brunei DST FA Cup 2016 where they knocked out top-tier side Royal Brunei Police Force Sports Council (MS PDB) in the quarter-finals and earn a clash against Najip I Team.

NATIONAL Pencak Silat Federation Negara Brunei Darussalam (PERSIB) has announced that five national athletes will be participating in the 17th World Pencak Silat Championship 2016 which will be held at GOR Lila Bhuana in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, starting today until December 9.

“DON’T shout at the players and let them enjoy the game. People want to play basketball because they love the game.”

This advice came from Zoran Prelevic, FIBA expert in coaching, who is currently in Brunei Darussalam to conduct a basketball coaching clinic from December 1 to 7 at Batu Bersurat Basketball Court.

TABUAN ‘A’ bagged a league and cup double after adding the NFABD Elite Under-16 Youth Cup to their trophy cabinet following a 2-0 win against a highly spirited Projek Ikan Pusu (PIP) in the final at the Track and Field Sports Complex yesterday.

Hafizul Razi bin Jomari managed to steer his header over line after Muhammad Badri Hakimin bin Aminuddin’s cross invited maximum pressure in the box before top scorer Mohd Hadif Aiman bin Haji Adanan capped the win with a neat finish a minute from time.
