Vietnam beat Brunei in AFC Under-14 tourney

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE national Under-14 football team fell to a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Vietnam in Group A of the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Under-14 Regional Festival of Football yesterday.

Vo Nguyen Hoang bagged a double with goals in the 19th and 31st minutes at the Balapan Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

Brunei football mourns passing of Johari Hj Bungsu

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - JOHARI Hj Bungsu (pic) will always be remembered for more than just his passion and dedication for Brunei football.

The former Najip FC coach passed away suddenly after collapsing during a friendly match on Thursday, sending shockwaves throughout the football community in the capital.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - LTE were crowned the winners of Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College (Maktab Duli) Football League on Wednesday.

The team emerged victorious after defeating their opponents, the Hostel Legacy team, in the last match held at the football field of the college, according to a press release issued by the college.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE national 4x100m relay team was disqualified from yesterday’s 18th Malaysian Games (SUKMA) final after a false start.

According to the event’s official website, the team finished last in the field of eight teams in Kuching.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - DPMM FC coach Steve Kean feels that a change of mentality has helped them go on strong run in the Singapore League Cup.

The three-time winners are through to the final of the competition after edging Home United FC 1-0 in the semi-finals at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore on Tuesday night.
