Md Alias wins Master Alim Senior Cup (2018)

MD ALIAS bin Rashid emerged champion of the inaugural Master Alim Senior Cup 2018 after cruising to a 7-0 win over Bakhtyar Haji Zaini in the final at the Master Alim Pool Café in Kiulap recently.

The newly-crowned champion also collected the coveted Master Alim Senior Cup Challenge Trophy for his efforts.

Black Arrows, CB Queen win 1st Brunei Open Softball Championship

BLACK Arrows and CB Queen emerged champions in the Men’s and Women’s categories, respectively, of the 1st Brunei Open Softball Championship 2018 at the Softball Pitch of the Jerudong Sports Complex on Sunday.

In Women’s category, Malaysian outfit CB Queen defeated Chikara 5-1 in the final. Divas won third place after they lost to Chikara 0-4 in the earlier match.

Brunei bag three gold, two silver in Nanjing Wushu Championships

BRUNEI martial arts team bagged a total of three gold and two silver medals in the 1st Asian Traditional Wushu Championships in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province which was held from November 28-30.

Basma Lachkar demonstrated her class after she bagged two gold medals in the taijiquan and taijijian event while the new partnership of Faustina Woo Wai Sii and Ling De Xuan struck gold in the duel event.

WINNERS of the 1st Shitokai Brunei Open Karate Championship receive their prizes at the closing ceremony on Sunday at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.

Sixteen events were competed on Sunday. Nur Salsabila Natasya of Brunei Sports School won gold for the Junior Female Kumite +59kg; Vivi Amal Aqilah of Shitokai Brunei ‘A’ took silver, while Nur Batrisya and Nur Balqis Hamizah of Shitokai Brunei ‘A’ bagged bronze.
