Dawat Martin finishes fifth in javelin throw

DAWAT Martin finished fifth place after recording 39.38 points in the men’s javelin throw event of the Asian Paralympic Games 2018 in Indonesia.

Uzbekistan won gold while the Islamic Republic of Iran bagged both silver and bronze.

In the women’s shot put, Norehsan Haji Mataha took seventh place with 8.48 points. Uzbekistan won gold and China won silver and bronze.

Brunei Under-14 rugby team finish sixth in Japan

THE Brunei Rugby Football Union (BRFU) Under-14 team finished sixth place out of 16 in the 1st Asian Rugby Festival in Fukuoka, Japan.

Comprising of students from Jerudong International School (JIS) and International School Brunei (ISB), the one-day tournament saw 16 teams competing including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Macau, Taiwan, Philippines and Japan.

Bowling event marks Teacher’s Day

TENPIN Bowlers Roslan bin Abdullah from PTES Pinwreckers and Hajah Norafida binti Pehin Datu Derma Sakti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Razak from UBD Bowlers were named as the Best Male and Female Player respectively of the Tenpin Bowling Championship in conjunction with 28th Teacher’s Day.

Open dart competition in December

MOHD Supian bin Haji Kamis in collaboration with Youth Transformational Community Club (KKBT) and Brunei National Dart Association will organise the Beragu Dart Open Competition from December 14 – 16 at the Recreational Hall of Youth Centre in the capital.

The event will be held in conjunction with Brunei December Festival 2018.
