THE National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) through the Grassroots Development Unit of the Technical Development Department outlined their plans to organise grassroots football activities throughout this year.

TWENTY-FIVE players signed their official contracts to play for Brunei DPMM FC in the Singapore Premier League 2019/2020 season during a ceremony at the Red Jade Conference Ballroom of The Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong on Monday.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin witnessed the ceremony.

Ministry of Home Affairs win futsal championship

THE Ministry of Home Affairs have been crowned champions in the 25th Civil Service Day Futsal Championship after defeating the Ministry of Religious Affairs 1-0 in the open category final at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex recently.

SOME 37 players competed in the National Petanque League organised by the Brunei Darussalam Petanque Federation at the Petanque Rink of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas last Sunday.

Rablee bin Hamid from Limbang, Sarawak emerged champion of the Men’s A category, followed by Amdillah bin Tamin in second place and Hamidun Haji Hamid in third.
