Timor Leste beat Brunei 1-0 in AFF Under-19 Championship 2018

BRUNEI Darussalam national under-19 team suffered their second defeat of the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Under-19 Championship 2018 after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Timor Leste at the Gelora Joko Samudra Stadium in Gresik, Indonesia last Wednesday night.

Timor Leste capitalised on lapses in concentration in the Brunei defence on the cusp of half-time as Paolo C Gali Da Costa Freitas pounced from close range.

WISDOM Bowls Club (WBC) from Brunei Darussalam will compete in the Kinabalu Borneo Cup 2018 International Triples Lawn Bowling competition in Sabah, Malaysia, which will begin tomorrow.

WBC qualified for the finals in the inaugural championship three years ago, and they hope to be able to repeat the success in this edition.

Brunei suffer 5-0 defeat against Cambodia

BRUNEI Darussalam national under-19 team got off to a wrong foot in the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Under-19 Championship following a bruising 5-0 defeat to Cambodia at the Gelora Joko Samudra Stadium in Gresik, Indonesia last night.

The Group ‘B’ encounter pit teams desperate for points before meeting the group favourites and it was Cambodia who sent a clear signal of intent after the Bruneian defence failed to track down the run of an opposing attacker who poked the ball narrowly wide.
