BELAIT - NAZGUL retained the men's Forever The First Seven Ultimate Frisbee title yesterday at Seria's Padang Arena after enduring an early scare against Ahmoris to win 4-1.

The winning combination of Mohd Juzimin Arbi and Md Daniel Syafiq Haikal - awarded as the final's best offensive player and the team's most valuable player respectively - were pivotal in orchestrating Nazgul's comeback from a point down as both teams struggled to find rhythm in very windy conditions.

Table tennis coach eyes more players for national training scheme

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - NATIONAL table tennis coach Tjatur Budi Setiojono (pic) is looking to find more players to be included in the national training scheme.

The national table tennis team currently trains every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night at the Multipurpose Hall of Menglait Sports Complex in Gadong.

No letting up for the nat’l taekwondo team

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THERE is no letting up for the national taekwondo team despite being without a national coach.

Kim Jung-jun resigned as the national coach in the first week of January due to personal reasons, and national development coach Nurul Hannah Abdul Mateen Kim @ Byung Hee Kim has taken over the duties.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE National Football Association Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) concluded its first-ever Sport Medic Course at the NFABD House in Berakas yesterday.

A total of 17 participants completed the 20-hour course at the Sports Medicine and Research Centre (SMRC) at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.

Sports School’s athletics teameyeing three major tourneys

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - THE head coach of the Sports School’s athletics department, Raup Tasim, said his team will be focusing on three major tournaments this year.

Apart from the 19th Thailand Sports School Games (TSSG) at the Chonburi Sports School in Thailand in May, the team will also be competing in the 8th ASEAN School Games (ASG) in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and the Sabah 3rd Borneo Speed in November.
