THE Brunei Darussalam Pencak Silat Federation (PERSIB) held a certificate presentation ceremony for the participants of the silat cakak asli and kuntau seminar and workshop in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Accession to the Throne at the Lecture Theatre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium yesterday.

AL-RAWDA FT emerged winners of the Weekend Warriors AirAsia Challenge Trophy after defeating Walowey FT 9-8 in penalties in a star-studded final at the Public Works Department Sports Complex last night.

Thilaka bids adieu to national netball coach role

BRUNEI Darussalam’s national netball coach Thilaka Jinadasa will be leaving her current role after a seven-year stint in charge of the team.

The Sri Lankan, one of the longest serving foreign coaches in Brunei, was initially due to finish her spell earlier but stayed on and the team was able to compete in the 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Kuala Lumpur.

BRUNEI Darussalam’s national wushu athletes put on a dominant display in the 1st Sarawak Wuwang Cup International Wushu Invitation Championship following a medal rush at the Sarawak Indoor Stadium in Petra Jaya recently.

The 15-strong Brunei team made a strong start inspired by medal prospect Mohd Adi Salihin bin Roslan who bagged gold in both the optional Nan Quan and optional Nan Dao events.
