Brunei wushu athlete bags silver in Nanjing meet

BRUNEI Darussalam junior wushu athlete Huang Zhengyu bagged a silver medal in the taijiquan event at the 1st Asian Traditional Wushu Championships in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province in China.

Brunei Darussalam national coach Li Hui expressed his satisfaction with the athlete’s performance.

Six athletes to represent country in Spartan Trifecta Race in Malaysia

A TEAM of six athletes from Brunei will compete in the Spartan Trifecta Race at Iskandar Puteri Johor in Johor, Malaysia on Saturday.

Muhd Adid bin Kadir will be going for his sixth Spartan Trifecta, Anderson Lim Eng Boon his fifth Trifecta, Daniel Lew his fifth Trifecta, Mohd Yahkup Sulaiman his third Trifecta and Md Faizalabidin bin Jackariah led by Zulkarnaen Haji Tohara will also be aiming for his sixth Trifecta by competing in the Ultra 50km race.

THE Brunei Open Softball Championship organised by the Brunei Amateur Softball and Baseball Association (BASBA) kicked off at the Softball Pitch of the Jerudong Sports Complex on Thursday afternoon.

BASBA Vice President Pengiran Haji Jambul bin Pengiran Sulaiman, accompanied by BASBA Secretary General Major (Rtd) Wan Tambrin bin Haji Suhaili, officiated the opening ceremony with the first hit of the ball during the start of the Women’s Category match.

HIS Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, a member of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) Finance and Audit Commission and President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BDNOC) attended the ANOC Finance and Audit Commission meeting on November 26, and the XXIII ANOC General Assembly 2018 held in Japan from November 28-29.
