SEVEN members of the Brunei Darussalam contingent received a warm welcome as they returned home after an excellent campaign at the 2019 Arafura Games in Darwin, Australia.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin welcomed the contingent at the Brunei International Airport in the early hours on Thursday.

BRUNEI Darussalam’s under-17 girls handball team left the country on Monday to participate in the International Handball Federation (IHF) Trophy in Jakarta, Indonesia being held from May 1-5.

PEMBELA ‘B’ clinched the champion’s title of the Mini Women Netball Tournament organised by The Netball Club under the Sports Bureau of the Belait Youth Association (PEMBELA) at the multi-purpose hall of the Mumong Sports Complex, Kuala Belait on Tuesday.

PEMBELA ‘B’ finished the tournament with a final score of 27 points. Honeybee were second followed by PEMBELA ‘A’ (OHL) and Emeralds.

TEAM YPT emerged champions in the Women’s Fun Game 2019 organised by the Brunei Darussalam Hockey Association (BDHA) through Hockey Sarang Tabuan at the Hockey Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex last Sunday.

DPMM FC head coach Adrian Pennock lauded the character of his players after masterminding another comeback in the 3-2 victory over dark horses Hougang United FC in their last home match in the AIA Singapore Premier League at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.
