FA Cup 2020 called off (2020)

Brunei Darussalam’s premier cup competition – the FA Cup 2020 – has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak and unavoidable technical issues, the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) announced on Monday.

A press statement said the national football governing body will be having further discussions with representatives from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on the selection of the club that will represent Brunei in the 2021 AFC Cup Qualifying Round.

Nine aspiring futsal coaches complete course (2020)

Nine aspiring coaches received certificates after completing the Gol Brasil Futsal Community Coaching Course for Level 1 organised by the Gol Brasil Futsal Institute of Brunei Darussalam (GBFI) at the DAR Takaful Building in the capital on Friday.

The second intake of the two-day course, which commenced on October 16, covered both the theory and practical sessions.

Badminton league resumes after eight-month absence (2020)

The National Badminton Team League Championship, organised by the Brunei Darussalam National Badminton Association (BDNBA), resumed after a near eight-month absence at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex recently.

Sports competitions took to the courts for the first time since badminton was included as one of six individual sports which is allowed to organise competitions as part of the updated guidelines.
