MEMBERS of the Powerboat Association Brunei Darussalam are gearing up to participate in two international competition.

Legislative Council (LegCo) member and Penghulu of Mukim Liang Yang Berhormat Haji Abdul Hamid bin Haji Mumin presented the national flag to the Secretariat General of the association Hajah Siti Aisah binti Abdul Jalil at Menara Cendera Kenangan, Kuala Belait, on Monday.

Belait District 10-Pin Bowling Association emerge champ

BELAIT District 10-Pin Bowling Association emerged champions of the 10-Pin Bowling Tournament held in conjunction of the renaming of Bandar Brunei to Bandar Seri Begawan 48th Anniversary at the iBowl Utama Bowling on Sunday.

The champions recorded a total of 2,149 points and received the challenge trophy, individual medals and BND200 cash prize.

15 participants compete in BSRC horse jumping competition

FIFTEEN participants competed in the Internal Horse Jumping Competition at Brunei Shell Recreation Club (BSRC) on Sunday.

The competition, organised for BSRC Riding Club members, was split into four categories, namely – Intro Adult, Intro Junior, Novice Class 1 and Novice Class 2.

FOUR Brunei Darussalam’s wushu athletes will compete in the 1st Asian Traditional Wushu Championships in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province in China from November 28-30.

The country has been boosted by the participation of SEA Games medallists Faustina Woo Wai Sii and Basma Lachkar, both regarded as the nation’s hopes of a strong showing in the international scene.
