Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Metahir and Haslani bin Ismail emerged winners of a badminton tournament at Kampong Tanjong Nangka Cooperative (SATENAGA) Multipurpose Hall recently.

They walked away with BND300, plaques and prizes comprising kitchen supplies. Haji Abdullah bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Wahid was named the best player, while best doubles player went to Zainuddin bin Haji Tiga.

NFABD to organise national programme for coaching (2019)

The National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) Technical Development Department will organise a National Programme for Coaching and Education and Learning of Coaches in Brunei for 2020.

The programme marks a commitment to the education of coaches at all levels of the game in Brunei. This will provide the cornerstone for the development and stability of football in the country.

Haji Muhammad Haikal Qarin and his father Haji Haironi Hamizin emerged champions of the Julok 8-Ball Open Doubles tournament after defeating duo Mahmood bin Abdullah and Pengiran Md Hidayat bin Pengiran Omar 8-7 in the final game recently.

Over 100 officers and staff members under the Ministry of Health (MoH) participated in a Badminton Tournament at the Sports Complex of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital recently.

Permanent Secretary at the MoH Haji Abdul Manap bin Othman was the guest of honour.

30 shortlisted to lead BBA (2019)

A list of 30 individuals were shortlisted to lead the Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) for year 2020-2022 following the success of the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2019 at the Mawar Room of the Mulia Hotel on Sunday.

With a large turnout of 59, the AGM also saw the amendment made to the constitution of BBA whereby in the next election, green IC holders are allowed to vote but cannot be voted. The amendment also requires members to pay an additional BND10 of annual fee.
