40 teams to battle it out in 3-on-3 basketball tourney on Sunday

OMNI Sports Sdn Bhd will host 40 youth basketball teams at the International School Brunei (ISB) in Jalan Utama Salambigar, Kampong Sungai Hanching in Berakas on Sunday for a three-on-three basketball tournament.

Following the successful recent basketball tournaments for adults which attracted teams from across Brunei, Omni Sports in partnership with Thredz has worked to bring the officially FIBA-sanctioned three-on-three format to young Brunei players.

BRUNEI Amateur Softball and Baseball Association (BASBA) elected new committee members for 2019-2021 during their annual general meeting at the Lecture Theatre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas recently.

Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Pahlawan Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jaafar bin Haji Abdul Aziz retained his position as President while Major (Rtd) Wan Tambrin bin Haji Suhaili was elected as the new Vice President.

BRUNEI’S top combat sports competitor Ahmed Faez Anuar, also known as ‘Eazy’, of Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts, received a huge boost after signing a one-year contract with supplements distributor Gator Sports at its premises in Kiulap on Monday.

Present to sign the agreement on behalf of Gator Sports was its manager Danny Chua.

ADI Said exerted his influence as a focal point of attack in his new side UiTM FC with involvement in all four goals during the 4-1 win against Negeri Sembilan in the Malaysia Premier League at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi recently.

The Brunei Darussalam national forward’s search for a first assist of the season in Malaysia’s second tier goes on but he was heavily linked in the build-up to all four goals.
