Fourth place regatta winners celebrated (2019)

A ceremony was held to celebrate the Pekayuh Orang-Orang Bergelar team at the Al-Afiah Café, Hotel Al-Afiah, in Kiulap on Thursday.

Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohammad bin Haji Daud presented medals to the team placed fourth at the special race event of the Brunei Darussalam Regatta 2019 held at the Dermaga Diraja last Sunday.

DPMM FC continue unbeaten start after narrow win (2019)

DPMM FC maintained their perfect start in the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) Under-19 Youth League after edging past Kota Ranger FC 1-0 at the Jerudong Park Mini Stadium in Jerudong recently.

DPMM FC’s Md Zakwan bin Abdullah Wan Afrezal scored the only goal of the game in the 16th minute. The young Gegar-Gegar men’s seventh consecutive victory helped them extend their lead six points clear off Kota Ranger FC and Kasuka FC, who have a game in hand.

Brunei Chainblock Gym teams KL bound for tug-of-war meet (2019)

Two teams from Brunei Chainblock Gym left the country on Wednesday morning to compete in the Putrajaya-Kuala Lumpur 2019 International Tug-of-War Club Championships in both indoors and outdoors competitions from August 26-31.

The teams comprise 18 athletes who will take part in the outdoor 680kg senior men’s category and are looking to better their fourth place finish in a similar tournament held in 2017.

Brunei Darussalam’s EWC Tug-of-War Team secured third place in the Putrajaya-Kuala Lumpur 2019 International Tug-of-War Club Championships at the Precinct 11 Neighbourhood Complex in Putrajaya on Wednesday.

The local team competed in the senior men’s 640kg category alongside four other teams including from China and South Africa in the indoor format of the competition.

Over 260 compete in 2nd Flora and Fauna Super Trail Challenge Run 2019

Over 260 participated in the 2nd Flora and Fauna Super Trail Challenge Run 2019 last Sunday.

The event was mainly sponsored by Skechers Brunei and organised by Sef Runner team led by active Bruneian marathon runner Sefli anak Ahar.
