Golfers in Brunei Darussalam can play a part to contribute to the Paraplegic ad Physically Disabled Association (PAPDA) by participating in the 3rd Women’s Business Council (WBC) Charity Golf Tournament from September 13-15 at the Pantai Mentiri Golf Club.

A press conference to reveal details of the charity golf tournament, chaired by WBC President Datin Paduka Hajah Rokiah binti Haji Zakiah and Chairman of the organising committee Seruji bin Haji Setia, was held on Tuesday.

Katok Secondary School’s Abdul Zahirul Haq bin Zazali emerged champion of the National Youth Under-20 Chess Rapid Championship 2019 held in conjunction with the 73rd birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the Brunei Chess Centre of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex recently.

Sarawak Badan Amal Tenaga Isteri-Isteri (SABATI) held a friendly bowling match against members of the Association of Wives of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries at the Utama Bowling Centre in Batu Satu recently.

RBAF to host cycling race on Sept 1 2019

The Royal Brunei Armed Forces will host an inter-service cycling race event on September 1, in conjunction with its 58th anniversary celebration.

The race will cover 105km along Lumut Camp, Sungai Liang traffic light, Telisai-Lumut Highway, Sungai Liang traffic light, flyover at RPN Kampong Bukit Beruang, Roundabout at RPN Kampong Bukit Beruang, Telisai-Lumut Highway, Anduki–Seria traffic light, Mumong-Kuala Belait roundabout (Teapot Roundabout), Seria by-pass, and Lumut Camp.

Brunei tug-of-war teams to compete in Malaysia (2019)

Local teams from Brunei Darussalam will take part in the Putrajaya- Kuala Lumpur 2019 International Tug-of-War Club Championships in both indoors and outdoors competitions from August 26-31.

The local teams that will represent the Brunei Darussalam Tug-of-War Association are EWC Tug-of-War Team, MB Tug-of-War Team and Chainblock. They will compete in the senior men 680kg category in the outdoor competition and senior men 600kg category in the indoor competition.
