MD HASRIJAM bin Haji Hasan enhanced his prospects of a major silverware this season after strolling to a 3-0 victory over Mezi Shahnom in Group ‘C’ of the Pro X National Snooker Championship 2019 at the Billiards & Snooker Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium last night.

Brunei to compete in Malaysia veteran meet

BRUNEI Darussalam’s veteran basketball teams will compete in the first-ever Malaysia International Veteran Basketball Championship from March 25-30 at the MABA Basketball Stadium and UCSI University.

They will face teams from Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan and China. The Brunei Basketball Association (BBA) will field teams in the Men 40’s and 50’s categories.

All set for basketball tournament from March 22

TIMES Square Shopping Centre will host another edition of its 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament 2019 on March 22-24 at the main entrance of Times Square Shopping Centre.

Four categories will be competed – Boys Under-18, Boys Under-16, Boys Under-13 and Girls Under-18. Each team is only allowed to have three members and one substitute. The tournament will be played in a round-robin basis, followed by a knock-out system in the quarters, semis and the finals, a press statement said.

DPMM FC held a selection for a newly assembled under-15 team at the Jerudong Mini Stadium on Sunday.

The team selection will enable the Brunei-based outfit to introduce young talents in the country and it also serves as a talent conveyor belt with opportunities for progression in football.
