THE National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) in collaboration with the consultant from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Jeysing Gnana Kannu Muthiah held a Club Licensing Seminar at the NFABD House recently.

THE Brunei Darussalam Petanque Federation (BDPF) expressed joy on the increase in young players during the recently concluded Brunei Petanque League for April.

The young players have been primed to be absorbed into the national setup in the future.

Nikles nets Arafura gold in 50m butterfly (2019)

BRUNEI Darussalam’s national swimmer Christian Nikles bagged the gold medal in the men’s 17 and over 50m butterfly event at the Arafura Games 2019 at the Parap Swimming Pool in Darwin, Australia on Tuesday.

The national swimmer clocked a time of 26.36s ahead of silver medallist Papua New Guinea’s Livingston Benedict Aika, who posted a time of 26.45s and Malaysia’s Puong Hou Hii who won bronze with a time of 26.46s.

BRUNEI Darussalam national contingent produced an excellent showing in the 2019 Arafura Games as the trio of Hirdan bin Haji Abdul Kadir, Nor Hensan Haji Mataha and Nur Haziq Samil enjoyed a podium finish in their respective events in Darwin, Australia on Monday.

Brunei Darussalam national para athlete Hirdan completed the quest for a third Arafura Games medal in this edition after snatching silver in the men’s open wheelchair discus event at the Arafura Stadium on Monday.

THE trail running community converged at Bukit Shahbandar Recreation Park on Monday to take part in the Belusir Trail Challenge 2019.

The event was divided into two categories namely the 14 hills and nine hills, which were broken down into male and female events.
