BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN - DEFENDING champions Kota Junior recorded their fourth straight victory of the Takaful Brunei Futsal Super League after a thumping of 18-2 win over Pega Star FT at the Multipurpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas last night. With the win, Kota Junior now cemented their place at the summit of the 11-team league table with twelve points, sharing same points with Shah United FC, who sit at second place on goal difference.
Faizul Jefry scored the opener for Kota Junior in just a minute of the first half followed by Mazir Maidin a minute later. Mazir later on scored four more goals for Kota Junior. Md Syukree, Ak Md Naqib, Md Farhan, Md Arif and Nur Adi Zulhusni scored a goal each for the reigning champions while,Md Yamin and Nor Raimi each scored a bracer.
Md Nor Azizam sealed the deal in the second half after scoring a hat-trick against Pega Star FT.
Despite the heavy thumping, Pega Star marched on and pulled two goals back in the second half through Abd Badri in the 29th minute and a last minute goal from Md Hafizul Hayat just as the whistle blew.
The other Takaful Brunei Futsal Super League match of the night saw Arbisyam FC beating PBDB FT 3-0 - their second defeat in the league.
