DPMM FC’s Rafael Ramazotti vies for the ball against a Hougang United FC player

DPMM FC picked up their first win of the season in the Great Eastern-Hyundai S League after notching a 2-0 win over Hougang United FC at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium last night.
DPMM FC midfielder Hendra Azam starred in midfield after scoring a goal and providing an assist while Billy Mehmet opened his account for his new club.
DPMM FC goalkeeper Alizanda Sitom marked his return to competitive football in his first start this season while defender Zeljko Savic made his debut since signing for a short-term contract.
Former S League Player of the Year Fumiya Kogure hit the same post twice in the second half.
The Gegar Gegar men took the lead after Hendra Azam produced a sublime pass in the path of Billy Mehmet who expertly drilled a cool low finish in the 8th minute.
Hougang’s Azhar Sairudin was brandished a yellow card following an off-the-ball incident with DPMM FC’s debutant Savic.
Maududi Hilmi Kasmi whipped a on the right flank but Rafael Ramazotti headed wide amid pressure by the visiting defender Atsushi Shirota.
DPMM FC veteran Alizanda Sitom had a dream debut after enjoying a clean sheet and had an eventful few minutes which drew a rousing reception from the faithful fans.

Hougang midfielder Fumiya Kogure has sent a teasing cross into the box which Sitom spilled over and thankfully Reduan Petara was present to guide the ball to safety.
Then, as the home defence were stretched, the impressive Kogure handed striker Pablo Aracil on the plate but Sitom produced an instinctive save from point blank range.
Ramazotti blazed his header just wide as the hosts looked to double their lead. On the other end, Kogure produced an ambitious long range effort which sailed harmlessly wide.
The hosts doubled the lead as the excellent Hendra Azam rifled home a stunning effort into the roof of the net on the stroke of half-time.
Ramazotti laid the ball for Azwan Ali whose shot deflected off a Hougang player for a corner.
The Cheetahs came agonisingly close to reducing the deficit after Kogure’s free kick brushed against the post.
The Japanese could not believe his luck after smashing the post from the edge of the box after being put through by substitute Nazrul Nazari.
The hosts suffered a blemish as Azwan Ali appeared to be feeling some discomfort when he exited the pitch and was replaced by Nurikhwan Othman.
