Brunei Darussalam pencak silat athletes in action

THE pencak silat events for the 10th BIMPNT-EAGA Friendship Games continued on Friday at the Youth Centre in the capital.
In the first event, South Sulawesi’s pair Agustina and Nurwanda Sari scored 576 points in the Women’s Ganda (Doubles) event. Sabah duo Rozinah Janil and Joysherlyn Janil also scored 576 points, while the pairing of Sarawak’s Nurul Faridah Fitri binti Firdaus and Jascentia Natasia Ratai had 561 points.
The second event saw the Men’s Team event where South Sulawesi’s trio Erwin, Andi Muh Arya Fatahillah and Jefry Aprilianto scored 458 points. Brunei Darussalam B’s Alif bin Yahya @ Johari, Muhd Nizammuddin Mukminin bin Fairulman and Awangku Muhd Hadi bin Pengiran Abdul Rahman scored 451 points, while Muhd Amirul Akid bin Haji Nordin, Md Rasyiid bin Jainuddin and Muhd Hazim bin Ramlie of Brunei Darussalam ‘A’ scored one point less.
More events will be competed today in the Men’s Tunggal (Individual), where Sarawak, South Sulawesi, Brunei Darussalam ‘B’, Federal Territory of Labuan, Brunei Darussalam ‘A’ and Sabah will vie for podium finish. Sabah, Brunei Darussalam ‘A’ and ‘B’, and South Sulawesi will compete in the Women’s Team event.
