FBC hosts Freedom Cup for bowling fun

THE Filipino Bowlers’ Club (FBC) held its All-Filipino Mixed Handicap Bowling Tournament 1stConference 2019 dubbed as ‘Freedom Cup’ at the iBowl Utama Bowling Centre in Batu Satu recently. Defence and Armed Forces Attache (DAFA) Colonel Jose Ricky A Laniog graced the official opening of the tournament. Personnel from the Embassy of the Republic of Philippines in Brunei Darussalam Labour Attache Melissa Mendizabal, Admin Officer Estrella Perez, Cultural Officer Rose Paz Narvaja Cornista and Assistant to Nationals Mark Arinquin were present.

FBC Board of Director Leonida Yapchulay Lim, in a welcoming remark, said, “I hope the leadership, commitment and dedication through the sports of bowling will not only promote and nurture our friendship but will also provide opportunities for closer friendship ties amongst us in other areas of common interest.”

Teams D’ Diva Strykers, GIBFI One, GIBFI Two, Maharlika, Naughty Leon, NBT Team and Storm Pin BIGBI participated in the tournament.

FBC President Irene Dava Badilla presented the Plaque of Appreciation to the guest of honour.

The tournament aimed to foster and promote goodwill, friendship and sportsmanship among Filipino workers in Brunei Darussalam.
